The Community College of Rhode Island's Associate in Applied Science degree program in Fire Science is designed to give students the skills needed to enter or advance in the field of fire service. CCRI's Fire Science program is now accredited by the Rhode Island Department of Health Center for Emergency Medical Services.
FESHE Fire Science courses offered - FIRE 1010 "Fire Fighter Safety and Survival" and FIRE 1060 "Fire Behavior". Upon completion of these courses and all FESHE courses certificates from the National Fire Academy will be awarded to the students.
HEAL 0200 CPR for Healthcare Workers - Required for all students prior to entering the Nursing Program. This course provides American Heart Association CPR Training for healthcare providers, CCRI students, and lay rescuers. [More info]
