Bio

Professor Luke J. Sutherland, M.F.A., is a director and designer at CCRI. His CCRI directing credits include Bad Jews, ART, The Haberdasher, American Buffalo, BUG, Wait Until Dark and The Receptionist, which was a KCACTF Region I Invited National Selection Production to Festival 45, 2013 - Hyannis MA. He continues serving KCACTF as a Region 1 Production Respondent.

Guest Academic Scenic Design credits: Quinnipiac University; Rhode Island College; Salem State University; Slave Regina University; and the University of Rhode Island. He teaches Stage Craft at Providence College as an adjunct professor.

Professional Scenic Design credits: Boston MA - Theatre on Fire; Bridge Rep of Boston; Argos Productions; New Urban Theatre Lab; The Huntington Theatre Company Education Dept. Providence RI - The Wilbury Theatre Group. Pennsylvania - The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble. Bar Harbor ME - Arcadia Repertory Theatre. Luke holds memberships with IATSE Locals 52 NYC and 481 NE as a set dresser for film and television. Luke has worked in production positions from stagehand to technical director for Virginia Opera, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Spoleto Festival USA, La Jolla Playhouse, Trinity Repertory Company and the Paper Mill Playhouse.
