Professor Lamiroy graduated from New England Baptist Hospital SON. She began her nursing
career working with open heart surgical patients. She continued working with critically
ill patients in the ICU and ER. She transferred to Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery
for 6 years. Professional work also includes the OR and RR.
She obtained a Master’s Degree in 2007 with certification as both Family Nurse Practitioner and Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. She began teaching Labor and Delivery at St. Joseph’s SON and doing Geriatric Psychiatry. Along with working in a private OB/GYN office she began teaching at CCRI in 2009.
She is presently working on a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a focus on Long Term Care.
Professor Lamiroy enjoys travel and has been cross country with her family multiple times. She enjoys outdoor activities, especially bike riding, hiking, and kayaking.
