Bio

Professor Lori Martone-Roberts received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Rhode Island College, Master of Science degree in Nursing Education from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University.  Professor Martone-Roberts is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. She has practiced in a variety of settings, most of which are related to adult medical oncology.

She began working at the Community College of Rhode Island in 2008 teaching NURS 1020. Professor Martone-Roberts serves as the Simulation Faculty Liaison. With support and funding from the Healthcare Workforce Transformation Initiatives Grant, Professor Martone-Roberts works as the Interprofessional Education Coordinator at the community college. She is also working as Adjunct Nursing Faculty at Rhode Island College. She belongs to the following professional organizations:  Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, Rhode Island State Nurses Association, Oncology Nursing Society, International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and Society for Simulation in Healthcare.  

When she is not working, Professor Martone-Roberts enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
