TRIO Programs

TRIO Programs refers to those programs funded through the US Department of Education that provide assistance and support to low income and/or first generation college bound students (first generation meaning neither parent graduated from a four year college or university) so they will succeed in their educational plans. TRIO programs help students overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
