Defaulted Student Loans

January

February

• Fill out FAFSA or FAFSA renewal before March 1st. for the RI Higher Education Grant

March

April

 May

• Fill out FAFSA if you have not already done so

• Make paper or internet corrections on Student Aid Report 

• Bring corrected Student Aid Reports to Financial Aid Office

• Check with Financial Aid Office to make sure documents are complete

• Priority deadline for Financial Aid at CCRI is May 1st to guarantee financial aid will be ready for the start of school in September

• Receive RI Higher Education Grant Money for prior semester

June

July

August

• Check with bursar about payment plans if necessary 

• Bring corrected Student Aid Reports to Financial Aid Office

• Check with Financial Aid Office to make sure they have all necessary documents

• Make first installment payment if necessary

• Send in enrollment verification to RI Higher Education Assistance Authority

September October November December

• Fill out FAFSA if you have not already done so

• Make second and third installment payment if necessary

• Priority deadline for Spring Financial Aid at CCRI is September to guarantee financial aid will be ready for the start of school in January

• Receive RI Higher Education Grant Money for prior semester
