Land Surveying Program Outcomes
- Satisfy State of Rhode Island educational requirement for licensure as Land Survey In Training (LSIT).
- Develop skills in survey interpretation and development.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCad and Computer Aided Design.
- Understand legal terms, concepts, and requirements associated with land surveys, real estate, and contracts.
- Complete basic fieldwork with optical, electronic, and mechanical survey instruments.
- Develop essential computer skills expected of land surveyors and professionals in survey related fields.
- Present and develop math and physic concepts related to land surveying.
- Perform the necessary measurements, data reduction and adjustment of a horizontal and vertical control network.
- Compute and apply the applications of various state plane coordinate systems.
- Obtain skills in Mapping (Cartography) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
