Chair
Chair Alicia Lyon’s office is Room 3216 on the Knight (Warwick) Campus. If you need to speak with the chair about the syllabus, grading, a student problem or any other issue, call Gail Yanku at 825-2262 to arrange a telephone call or visit.
Liston Campus Coordinator
Margaret Connell's office is in Rm. 1132D in the faculty office area. She serves as the Liston liaison for the English department. She is someone to consult on student issues and conflicts, as well as to go to with questions on course curriculum, departmental policy, or any bookstore problems that may arise. Her phone number is 455-6112.
Secretarial Support
Pat Simanski is the Faculty Assistant, and she can be reached at 455-6071. If you are ill and need to cancel a class, please contact her, as she will post a note on your classroom door to notify students of your delay or absence.
Night Supervisor
Sheila Rance, Evening Campus Supervisor, is able to assist you Monday through Thursday evenings after 4:00 p.m. Sheila is available either in Room 1134, at the Reception desk, or at 455-6175.
Weekend College Supervisor
Terri-Lynn Dunbar, Weekend College Coordinator, is available to assist you Friday evenings from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., as well as Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Will is available either in Room 1134, at the Reception Desk, or at 455-6175.
Your Peers
Communication with your peers through an online message board has just become possible. The English Department Adjuncts Group on MyCCRI offers the chance for you to view announcements and get useful links as well as ask questions, register concerns, and exchange views with their colleagues on the message board. If you want to use the board, contact Jim Glickman, who will sign you up (or ask to sign up online. Log into MyCCRI, hit Groups, then List Groups, then Adjunct English, and then Ask to Sign Up. If you have any questions or need help on how to do this, see or email Jim Glickman. You may also wish to consult MyCCRI directions at the end of this manual.
Security
Our security staff has the same authority as municipal police. They are here from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Call Security at 455-6050 if you are locked out of a classroom or have a troublesome student who won’t leave the class. The Security office houses Lost and Found. The Security office is located on the first floor in Rm. 1157.
