Office Information

Copying

Faculty generally do their own copying because Gail and Carol are constantly busy. Do not to wait until the last minute to copy material: the queue at the machines is often long and the machines are often down. Several copy machines are available -- a copy machine for adjunct use is in 3085, adjacent to the adjunct office area, 3105. Other machines are located in the second and third floor workrooms at the SW end of the building (the corner diagonally across from the second floor entrance ramp).

Office/Desk Space

Temporary full time faculty are given offices with telephone and computers in the Department area. Available to adjuncts are cubicles in room 3105 (up the ramp to the third floor, go right, last room on the left) but be aware that these spaces tend to be considered personal property by those who get there first. For meetings with students, the conference room near the secretaries' area can be booked with Gail. In addition, there are plenty of nooks and crannies where you can sit and talk to students or spend the time between classes. 3105 has two telephones, located in the innermost row of cubicles. Otherwise telephones are pretty much everywhere.

Computers

Two computers are available for adjunct use in 3105. If you have a snafu with a computer, call the help line 1112.

Office Supplies

Gail Yanku is the keeper of the keys to the supply cabinet, which is in the secretarial area. Ask Gail if you need anything.

Mailbox

Adjuncts who teach day classes are provided with mailboxes as are all full time temporary faculty. Mailboxes are at the entrance to the English area. Adjuncts who teach at night pick up mail and messages when they sign in at the Enrollment Services desk.

Mail

U.S. and interoffice mail is picked up in the Department area once a day from the box on the low file cabinet against room 3230. US mail can also be dropped in the mailbox outside the ground floor doors under the underpass. It is picked up 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. Saturday.
