Office Information
Copying
Adjunct faculty generally do their own copying. Do not wait until the last minute to copy material: the line at the machines is often long, and the machines are often down. Several copy machines are available -- a copy machine for adjunct use is located in the Faculty Office area on the first floor, and there is another located on the second floor at the top of the main staircase.
Office/Desk Space
Adjunct and temporary full-time faculty are given a desk adjacent to
the windows in the Faculty Office Area. Please see
Diane Sylvester (333-7372) for
a card that marks your desk assignment and time. As desks are limited,
adjuncts must often share desks.
Phones
One phone is available in the Faculty Office Area and another in Rm. 1260. If calling within the college system (Warwick, Providence, Lincoln), just dial the extension.
Computers
Four computers are available for adjunct use in the Faculty Computer Room, Rm. 1260, in the Faculty Office Area. (If you have a problem with a computer, call the Help Desk at 825-1112.) Additionally, the Center for Instructional Technology (Flanagan Campus – Room 2610) has four computers and staff available for one-on-one help. The IT for Faculty provides information on a number of computer-related items, including documentation, WebCT, creating websites, and so on. Office Supplies
If you are in need of office supplies, please see the department secretary.
Mailbox
All full-time temporary faculty and daytime adjuncts are provided
with mailboxes that are located outside of Jim Glickman’s office, Rm.
1218. Adjuncts who teach at night pick up mail and messages when they
sign in at the Enrollment Services desk.
U.S. and interoffice mail is picked up in the Department area once a day from the basket marked "Mail" on the center desk. Please be sure to include your CCRI return address on all out-going CCRI-related mail.
Paychecks
All CCRI employees, including full-time temporary faculty, are paid every other Friday according to the bi-weekly payroll schedule, and adjuncts are paid via Lecturer's payroll schedule, which is the third Wednesday of each month. To have your checks direct deposited, you need to fill out a form available from Human Resources (Personnel) at the Knight Campus (located at the top of the ramp to the third floor), or you may download the form.
