Committee Members
The Distance Learning Advisory Committee reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
This committee was created in June 2004 and was charged by the Vice President of Academic Affairs to examine and recommend institutional policies and practices for developing, planning, evaluating and implementing distance /distributed offerings with a focus on quality and connection to the mission of the institution.
The NEASC study identified technology as one of CCRI's major strengths and suggested that the institution build on this strength. The committee was challenged to focus on:
- Quality issues related to course content, delivery and consistency in offerings
- Assuring student learning outcomes are met for all courses independent of their delivery method
- Establishing criteria for instructional evaluation (course and delivery)
