Key
WEB = Web-based course. These are fully online
courses. Most courses are in WebCT at
http://webct.ccri.edu unless
otherwise noted. There may be a requirement for on-campus exams or writing
samples. Please check with the instructor to verify requirements.
H = Hybrid course. A hybrid course incorporates
both online coursework and occasional on-campus meetings. Each
course is different as far as percentage of online-on-campus meetings so check
with the instructor.
TV = Telecourse. These courses are broadcast
over RI Cable. Students will view courses on Statewide Interconnect C
(Government Access Channel) ONLY which is cable converter Channel #15 for
Cox customers and Channel #15 for Full Channel TV customers. Most
Telecourses are asynchronous and consist of two 30-minute programs shown in a
one-hour block each week and are repeated later in the week with assignments
emailed or uploaded into WebCT. Details can be found in the weekly program
schedule for each course which can be found under the appropriate course
listing.
VC = Video Conferenced courses. These are
on-campus courses that have at least two sections of the same course held
at the same day and time but on at least two different campuses with the
same instructor. Students go to the campus for their section and the instructor
travels between the campuses, using video conferencing to teach to the remote
campus.
