Register in Person

You may register for any courses in person at the Lincoln, Warwick, Providence, or Newport Center for Workforce & Community Education Office. Payment must be made at the time of registration.

Register by Mail

Complete a Center for Workforce & Community Education registration form (PDF*). Attach a check or money order, or provide credit card information for the appropriate amount.  Makes checks and money orders payable to CCRI.  Mail to:

Use your VISA, MasterCard, or Discover Card to register 24 hours a day, seven days a week by completing a Center for Workforce & Community Education registration form (PDF*) and faxing it to the Center for Workforce & Community Education Office at Lincoln (401.333.7237).

Confirmation

Please consider your registration confirmed unless you are notified otherwise.  You will be notified if the course is closed, cancelled, or if the starting date is changed. The college reserves the right to cancel a course when registration is less than the minimum required.

Fees

Course fees are payable at the time of registration.  An additional $5 registration fee is applicable to each Center for Workforce & Community Education course (NOT applicable to tests or pre-test sessions).  Waivers cannot be used for non-credit courses.  Some courses require a materials fee, which is noted in the course description. CCRI is a state-supported agency; therefore, tuition and fees are subject to change at any time.

Refunds

The Division of Center for Workforce & Community Education will refund your fee if the course you choose is full or cancelled, or if you withdraw from the course BEFORE the first class meets. No partial refunds are made under any circumstances.  To withdraw, call 401.333.7070 or 401.825.1214 between 9am and 3pm before the course start date.

Classroom Assignments

Classroom assignments are made prior to or on the start date of every course. This is done for your convenience and to ensure that the best classroom is utilized for each course. Look for posted signs when you enter.

Receive Tax Credit for Continuing Your Education

The Hope Scholarship provides for a tax credit if you are pursuing a degree or other recognized educational credential. The Lifetime Learning Credit is available to individuals continuing their education (need not be degree or recognized educational credential). See IRS tax publications or consult your tax accountant.
