The Art of Self Defense - An Introduction to Martial Arts
Enhance your strength, flexibility and balance while improving your timing and reaction skills. Our instructor holds three black belts, a black sash and will introduce you to various non-contact striking forms (punching and kicking). Self-defense techniques and danger awareness will be incorporated throughout. No experience required.
Whether in a traditional setting or a limited program, the benefits of participating in martial arts include building self-esteem, discipline, coordination and endurance. It also increases metabolism and teaches life saving techniques.

About the Instructor, Cam Mandeville
As a martial artist for over 35 years, Cam is committed to providing the highest level of instruction and practical experience in order to best train his students. Holding three Black Belts and a Black Sash, Cam has trained under the most demanding and honorable instructors.
The programs he has developed and presented through the years include basic self defense as well as intermediate and advanced self defense, martial arts boot camp and kung fu. In addition, he offers traditional martial arts training with rank earned at his school, Hybrid Martial Arts, to students of all ages and all abilities. Students there learn forms, submission grappling, weapons training and breaking.
As a behavioral therapist, he has had the opportunity to work with children and adults with development disabilities, profound handicaps, and behavioral problems creating programs, providing behavioral support, and acting as a family liaison. As a certified instructor of Preventive Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB), he has trained individuals to successfully handle potentially dangerous situations that could turn violent and have serious consequences. In addition to working with the residents and their families, he was responsible for the oversight, training, and evaluation of staff.
