Why take an office skills training program?
It is important for office administration assistants to have up-to-date computer skills that keep pace with ever-changing office administration technologies. By completing a basic office skills training program, you prove to employers that you have the knowledge and skills to be a productive part of the office administrative staff.
What is the program schedule?
CCRI offers a schedule of classes that will enable you to accomplish your goal in 19 weeks, depending on the schedule that you select. Classes are offered at the Lincoln campus:
- Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (19 weeks)
What is covered in the training?
This is an intensive, hands-on training. Topics include instruction on basic Windows operation, Internet, electronic mailing, general office practices and academic support services. You will also learn the complete Office 2007 Suite software package and work at your own desk with your own personal computer. Participants enjoy our intimate classroom environment, where caring professionals provide small group instruction. Because no class is any larger the 15 students, you can be sure that you will obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities that are required by today’s employer.
Become part of the CCRI community and join us for a rigorous, yet stimulating experience. Upon successful completion, students can receive 6 credits when enrolling in the Basic Office Skills or Office Administration Certificate Program or 10 credits when enrolling in an associate degree Office Administration program at CCRI.
Who can enroll?
CCRI’s Office Skills Training Program is open to anyone who satisfactorily completes a placement test and an interview. You must have keyboarding experience and access to a personal computer.
How do I enroll?
Your first step is to register for a placement test offered in Lincoln. Please call 333-7283 for more information.
