Monteiro, Providence Police recruit students

Major Monty Monteiro (Class of ‘68), director of homeland security for the Port of Providence, chats with accounting major Carmen Colon as part of a Police Career Day at the CCRI Warwick campus. In recruiting for the capitol city’s police force, Monteiro, a CCRI alumnus, explains, "I know what potential CCRI students have." He adds that he is looking for qualified adults who wish to join the force for the right reason: that law enforcement is a noble profession.
