The CCRI Players recently presented Harvey, a comedy written by Mary Chase and directed by Linda Murphy Sutherland. A celebration of eccentricity and the diversity of the human spirit, this beloved comedy, first produced on Broadway in 1944, concerns one Elwood P. Dowd, a middle-aged drunk who has been driving his sister and niece wild by introducing everyone he meets to his best friend, a six-foot three and a half inches tall invisible rabbit named Harvey.
