CLEP test centers named in top 100

The College Board has named CCRI’s CLEP testing centers among the top 100 in the country for the third consecutive year. CLEP, the College Level Examination Program, is used to award college credit for prior education, life and work experience.

Dean of Student Development and Assessment Ron Schertz offered his congratulations to the two individuals who oversee the Warwick and Lincoln centers where CLEP testing is administered.

“Tonia Arrarian in Warwick and Jeannie Lovett in Lincoln have been tremendous in creating more opportunity for students to take advantage of the test,” says Schertz. “In Warwick, they have taken the initiative to expand the schedule so that students can take the CLEP by appointment. That takes incredible programming and organizational skill.”

Schertz adds that the new Newport County Campus will eventually be able to offer CLEP and other standardized testing. For information, or to schedule an appointment, look online at http://www.ccri.edu/priorlearning/  or call 333-7159 (Lincoln) or 825-2221 (Warwick).
