Alumni Association to honor achievers

On Friday, October 14, the CCRI Alumni Association will host its biennial event, A Knight of Stars, to induct eight deserving individuals into CCRI’s outstanding alumni award program, the Society of the Knights. The Society was established to honor CCRI alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the college and to their communities. This year’s inductees represent a broad cross-section of professional fields, ranging from banking to education, law enforcement to law making, and non-profit stewardship to small business ownership.

The festivities will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Warwick. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are offered at 6:00 p.m. and the ceremony gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy dinner, then dancing to the music of Brass Attack.

“We look forward to this event each time,” says Marisa Albini, director of alumni affairs. “It’s an opportunity to recognize the contributions of these individuals and to showcase the tremendous talents of our alumni,” she says. “The great food and terrific music are just the icing on the cake.”

Tickets are still available and can be purchased by emailing alumni@ccri.edu  or calling 825-2141.
