Office administration offers dual major option

General Studies and liberal arts students can easily earn a second degree or certificate

Did you know that you can complete a Basic Office Skills or Office Administration Certificate and apply the credits to your General Studies or Liberal Arts degree program?

These certificates can give you the skills you need to start a career as an office professional and, at the same time, provide earnings from employment that would enable you to complete your degree. Further, all credits in these certificates can also be applied to other Administrative Office Technology degree programs.

Students enrolled in the General Studies program are required to complete 25-28 elective credits and Liberal Arts students are required to complete 16-19 credits. Credits from your degree and departmental proficiency exams can reduce the number of required credits in these certificate programs. Courses for both the Basic Office Skills Certificate program (18 hours) and the Office Administration Certificate (35 hours) are available days, evenings and weekends.

The Weekend College in Lincoln is offering the Basic Office Skills program weekend only beginning in January. Start your program in January and complete it in December. For more information, please contact the Administrative Office Technology Department at 825-2155 or 333-7378.
