Gluck appointed to national advisory board
Dr. Joel Gluck, adjunct professor in the Department of Biology has been appointed
to the Advisory Board of the Journal of College Science Teaching. His three-year
term begins in June.
The Journal of College Science Teaching is a professional journal for educators
at the college level and is published by the National Science Teachers Association.
According to the NSTA Web site, the journal advisory board is responsible
for reviewing manuscripts, making recommendations to the editors concerning
publication of manuscripts, assisting the editors in implementing publication
policies, and providing suggestions as requested.
Gluck has been with the college for three years. He lives in Warwick.

Holland, Kless promoted
Cledia Holland and Terri Kless have been promoted to associate directors of enrollment services in Warwick and Providence, respectively. Both Holland and Kless were admissions/financial aid officers previously.
Holland has been with the college for more than 15 years, beginning as a financial aid officer in 1989.
Kless has been with the college for 13 years, beginning as an admissions officer in 1991.
Marchetti appointed golf coach
Richard Marchetti has been chosen as the new golf team coach. Marchetti, a Johnston native, is a graduate of CCRI and former member of the CCRI basketball team in 1971-72.
Marchetti, who has been teaching in the psychology departments at CCRI since 2002, holds a master's degree in arts and counseling from Rhode Island College.
D'Onofrio named director of CTD
Suzanne D’Onofrio has recently been appointed director of the Center for Training & Development for CCRI’s Division for Lifelong Learning.
Since 2003, D’Onofrio has been coordinator of the CCRI Training & Technology Center in Quonset. She holds an M.S. in Management from Lesley University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State College. Prior to joining CCRI, she worked as a marketing coordinator for Toray Plastics America, Inc., marketing director for Southern New England Holistic Health Care and most recently as product manager for The Colibri Group.
CCRI student Donna Tibedo honored by Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association
CCRI student Donna Tibedo of Uxbridge, MA, was honored as the 2004 Student Delegate by District One of the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association at a recent SADHA meeting held at the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston and hosted by CCRI. Tibedo was also elected as Speaker of the House for the Student House of Delegates at the SADHA event, and received the Massachusetts Hygienists’ Association scholarship.
CCRI SADHA advisor Kathi Duffy coordinated the SADHA event and Dr. Martin
Elson, DDS, a Cranston oral surgeon and CCRI adjunct lecturer, provided an oral
pathology review for over 200 second-year dental hygiene students from dental
hygiene schools throughout New England.
