CCRI recognized for best practices in Accuplacer

The Community College of Rhode Island has been selected by the College Board to share its “innovative and effective“ assessment and placement practices in using ACCUPLACER online testing.

Dean of Student Development and Assessment Ronald Schertz, Assistant Dean of Student Development and Assessment Robert Cipolla and Knight Campus Coordinator of Advising and Counseling Lisa Mallozzi have been chosen to present CCRI’s methods at the 15th National ACCUPLACER Conference held in Las Vegas in June.

A description of CCRI’s methods is also highlighted in the new College Board ACCUPLACER Best Practices brochure, which was distributed in March and will be highlighted at the June conference.

The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, the association is composed of more than 4,700 schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations.
