O'Neill-Mattson given Lifetime Achievement Award

Edna O'Neill-Mattson, director of facilities use, was recognized with a lifetime achievement award from the Rhode Island committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Mattson serves as the committee's membership chair, and, according to the committee's announcement, "has been directly responsible for the unprecedented growth of the committee in the past 10 years. She is a dedicated volunteer who never misses a deployment or redeployment ceremony."

Susi published in national magazine

Assistant Professor of English Holly Susi was recently published in Fire Chief Magazine, a national trade publication with a readership of more than 300,000. Her story chronicled her experience at a "Firefighter for a Day" workshop designed for partners of firefighters.
