Welcome to Currents
We hope you enjoy Currents, CCRI's new monthly publication serving faculty, staff, alumni and students.
Many of you have told us that you want to know more about what is happening throughout the college. As a result, we have merged our quarterly news publications – Update and Focus, geared toward students and faculty/staff, respectively – to create one monthly newsletter serving the whole college.
The name Currents was chosen for this new publication because it represents movement and flow, and because it implies up-to-date news. This is fitting because the goal of this publication is to improve the flow of important and timely news throughout all of our campuses.
As part of this effort, the office has adopted other changes you will see coming in the near future including:
Crier: The Crier – a listing of news and events – will be emailed to all faculty and staff on a weekly basis, or more often as needed. A printed version will also be posted in faculty dining halls and various bulletin boards on each campus. Send submissions to pr@ccri.edu.
Crier – Instant News: This new feature will provide college news via email to keep the college community informed of events as they happen.
Pipeline: Students will continue to receive news and information via Pipeline personal messages. Send submissions to pr@ccri.edu.
We hope these changes will make it easier for everyone to find the information they need in a timely manner. We are eager to hear your feedback. Please contact Public Relations Officer Christina O'Reilly at 825-2007 or caoreilly@ccri.edu; with any comments, questions or suggestions.
Look for it...
Faculty and staff – Look for your copy of Currents in your office mailbox each month.
Students – Look for your copy of Currents in one of several locations on each campus, including the Library, Success Centers, and dining halls.
