Expanding Your Computer Skills
New Course!
Learn to work faster and more efficiently using the tips shortcuts and tools to get the job done faster and smarter in a new class this spring, COMI 1105 - 104, "Expanding Your Computer Skills." The class will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Knight Campus.
Course Description:
Explore the Web social community using sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Second Life. Learn to communicate with tools like IM, blogs, Webcasts, podcasts, voip, video conferencing and email. This class will explore newer Web technologies to increase your Web experience and discuss the impact all these technologies have on our lives today and how will they change our future. You also will learn to protect your computer and identity and how to connect home appliances and home automation systems to your computer and home network. The class also will discuss digital entertainment such as "smart" portable devices, iPods, PDAs, GPS, Bluetooth and more.
