The Community College of Rhode Island offers students an opportunity to get involved in a number of club activities on campus. A Student Guide to Campus Clubs and Organizations provides a description of the purpose and major programming activities of each club. This publication is developed by the Division of Student Affairs and is available through the Office of the Dean of Students.

The Community College of Rhode Island is the home to one of Rhode Island’s finest and most successful intercollegiate athletic programs. The CCRI program has long been considered a front-runner in New England Community and Junior College athletic circles.
The Community College fields intercollegiate men’s teams in baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, cross-country, indoor and outdoor track, golf, tennis and intercollegiate women’s teams in volleyball, basketball, cross-country, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, swimming and softball.
The College holds membership in the National Junior College Athletic Association and is an associate member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The College’s athletic program is currently ranked as one of the most successful community/junior college programs in the Northeast. The basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, cross-country, golf, and soccer teams have all been nationally ranked.
The Community College of Rhode Island has proven to be a stepping stone for many student athletes who have moved on to complete their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions throughout the nation.
The Community College of Rhode Island’s athletic facilities are located on its campuses in Warwick and Lincoln. Each campus possesses a field house with an indoor track, four basketball courts, four indoor tennis courts and a modern dance room, a fully equipped weight room. In addition, the Flanagan Campus field house contains a six-lane swimming pool and is equipped with saunas. Both campuses have their own outdoor fields.
The purpose of the intramural and physical education program is to provide every student with the opportunity to engage in some form of wellness and recreation. It is hoped that the student will make worthy use of leisure time and develop a wholesome attitude toward physical activity. This program is open to all students. Many of the physical education credit classes are transferable to other two and four year institutions upon successful completion of the course.

Prevention/Care of Athletic Injuries
Real Coaching - RI Certification
Sports Administration
Water Safety Instructor
Weight Training
Wellness
The Intramural Program includes such activities as:
Basketball
Flag Football
Fun run
Volleyball
Water Polo
The Warwick Fieldhouse and Lincoln Fieldhouse are available to all students Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Please note: Evening sessions are subject to cancellation due to athletic events or athletic rentals.)
