NUMBERING SYSTEM
Each course number is preceded by a four letter code. Identification of codes
may be found under each subject area as follows:
Courses numbered 0010 through 0990 will not be credited toward an Associate Degree.
Such courses include remedial work and courses leading to a certificate.
Courses numbered 1000 through 1990 are generally open to first-year students
and are open as electives to any student, subject to prerequisites or sequential
relationship indicated.
Courses numbered 2000 through 2990 are normally designed for sophomore students
(except when required in a specified semester of certain programs of study) and
would tend to be those courses following other basic work done in the freshman year.
In many instances, courses in the 1000’s will be prerequisites for courses numbered
2000 to 2990.
Not all the courses listed in the catalog are available every semester.
