Cooperative Education

Cooperative Work Experience I  - 4 Credits

A planned and supervised cooperative work experience which provides the student with an opportunity to observe and participate in a work environment related to their academic interests. Students work approximately 15-20 hours a week in an approved Cooperative Work Experience site for competitive wages, or students may opt to utilize their current position if it is related to their field of study. All students participate in a one hour and forty minute weekly seminar on campus, or an on-line class. For information, contact CO-OP at 825-2050 or 333-7254.

Cooperative Work Experience II - 4 Credits

An extension of Cooperative Work Experience I in which students develop an in-depth knowledge of specific content areas and demonstrate increased levels of expertise in these areas. Students work approximately 15-20 hours a week in an approved Cooperative Work Experience site or students may opt to utilize their current position if it is related to their field of study. All students participate in a one hour and forty minute weekly seminar on campus, or an on-line class. For information regarding prerequisites contact CO-OP at 825-2050 or 333-7254.
