Certificate Programs
In response to the impact of computer technology on communications and industry, CCRI offers various degree and certificate programs through the Computer Studies and Information Processing Department.
Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree Programs are:
Computer Programming, which prepares students to enter a modern programming environment. This program stresses problem definition and solution design using different programming languages in the development of applications. To meet the requirements for the associate in science degree, students must take and pass all courses listed in the program of study and complete a total of 64 credits for the Programming Option or the Microcomputing Systems and Networking Option.
Microcomputing Systems and Networking prepares students to enter a workplace that emphasizes the use of the personal computer as a stand-alone device or in a networked computer environment. Depending on the selection of courses, this program could prepare an individual to be employed in computer user support services. Concentrations in this program include: General Microcomputing, Networking, IT Support Specialist, and Web Site Development
Certificate Programs are: General Microcomputing, IT Support Specialist, Networking, Web Site Development and Office Automation. Certificate programs emphasize technical course work only and do not require students to take electives that are required in the associate degree options.
Computer Programming (CPRD)

Full-Time Students should take a minimum of 16 credits 1st semester , 15 credits 2nd semester, 17 credits 3rd semester, and 16 credits 4th semester.

The Office Automation certificate is available for students who visualize the "office environment" as paperless. This certificate program enables students to become proficient in the use of software applications to manage the corporate office. Students are taught to make the transition from the traditional approach of document processing to the systems approach of word processing in the modern office. Students also receive a strong foundation in English language skills and their application to the processing of words followed by use of current software and hardware to record, code, sort, calculate, summarize, store and communicate information.

Web Site Development Certificate (CMWC)
Important:
To be awarded this Certificate students must be registered as matriculating in the Computer Studies Program and successfully complete all certificate courses with a grade of “C” or better.
Credits earned in this Certificate Program may be applied towards the Associate Degree Program.
The Web Site development certificate designed for individuals who wish to acquire the training necessary to prepare them for a position in the field of Web site development or gain a broader knowledge of computer software and/or hardware. Certificate programs emphasize technical course work only and do not require students to take electives.
