Four CCRI Athletes have Season-best efforts at BU Invite!

Warwick, R.I. – July 16, 2016: The CCRI Men’s and Women’s Track Teams traveled to Boston University in Boston, MA to compete in the John Thomas BU Terrier Invite. This was a non-team scoring meet but four CCRI athletes ran season best efforts at the BU Terrier Invitational over the weekend.

The Lady Knights were led by Allison Lenox (North Kingstown, RI) placed 36th in the 500m race with a season-best time of one minute 21.77 seconds. Victoria Anderson (Manville, RI) also ran a season-best time in the 60m hurdles running a time of 10.57 seconds which placed her 66th. The Knights top performer was Justin Lucier (West Warwick, RI) who placed 98th in the 400m dash with a season-best effort of 52.45 seconds. Also running well was Tim Chambers (Cranston, RI) who placed 161st in the Mile run with a season best time of 4:49.25.

Other athletes who competed at the meet were Danny Elliott (North Attleboro, MA) running the 800m in 2:17.58 placing him 114th. Kate Murrin (Norton, MA) placing 122nd in the 800m in a time of 2:47.51 and Wayne Rainey (Hope Valley, RI) placing 78th in the 60m dash in a time of 7.86.

The Knights and Lady Knights will be back in action this Saturday when the travel to Middletown CT to compete in the Wesleyan University Indoor Invite beginning at 10:00am.
