Warwick, R.I. – October 19, 2015: The CCRI Knights men’s Cross Country runners traveled to Emmanuel College in Boston, MA on Friday to compete in the Emmanuel Saints Invitational.
Once again freshman Kody Sankey (Cumberland, RI) is the first Knight to cross the line at the 2015 Emmanuel College Saints Invitational held at Franklin Park in Boston, MA. Sankey placed 98th out of 200 runners in a time of 31 minutes 6 seconds. Sankey was followed by sophomore Jared Gruslin (North Smithfield, RI) placed 122nd in a time of 32:09. Also running well for CCRI was sophomore Britton Laney (Pascoag, RI) placed 134th in a time of 32:57. Rounding out the Knights contingent was freshman Ian Fletcher (Lincoln, RI) placed 178th in a career-best time of 37:49.
The next meet for the Knights will be in two weeks Saturday the 31st at 11:00am when they host the JUCO Northeast Invitational on the CCRI cross country course on the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln.
