Warwick, R.I. – May 6, 2015: The CCRI golf team traveled to Chicopee Country Club in Chicopee, MA, the home course of Springfield Technical Community College, to play a golf match versus: Holyoke Community College, UMass-Stockbridge, Mass Bay Community College, Springfield Technical Community College and Massasoit Community College. The Knights delivered the low team score of the day with an impressive 315.
CCRI was led by sophomore Co-Captain Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) who was tied for low score of the day with an excellent 73. Also shooting a 73 was freshman Alex Greenwood (Cranston, RI). Also contributing to the team score was Ryan Neilan (Barrington, RI) with an 84 and sophomore Co-Captain Matt Burke (Wakefield, RI) with an 85. Also playing for CCRI was freshman Josh Macera (Cranston, RI) who shot an 87 but his score was not used for the team total of 315. The Knights finished ahead of Holyoke who shot a team score of 339 and UMass-Stockbridge shot a team score of 363. Also competing without a full complement of team members was: Mass Bay CC, Springfield Tech, and Massasoit CC.
The next match for the Knights will be this Friday the 8th when they travel to play at UMass-Stockbridge.
