The CCRI Lady Knights’ women’s soccer team has raised $804.15 for breast cancer during the month of October this year. All proceeds collected will be donated to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation. The Lady Knights had their fourth annual Pink Out Saturday October 19th where they wore pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and collected funds on that day and throughout the month of October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This was their fourth year collecting funds for breast cancer research and their second highest total collected ever. The highest total was in their first Pink out in 2010 when they collected nearly $1,000. In their four years of raising awareness they have collected almost $3,000 for this very worthy cause.
