Lady Knights beat Bees of Bristol CC 96-46!
The CCRI Lady Knights’ basketball team traveled to Fall River, MA to play the Bees of Bristol Community College for a Region XXI non-league game. The Lady Knights defeated the Bees 96-46. With the victory CCRI improves to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Region XXI play.
The Lady Knights dominated the game from the opening tip taking a 29 point lead into halftime with the score 53-24. They kept the pedal to the metal in the second half to cruise away to the 96-46 victory.
Leading the way for the Lady Knights was freshman guard Jesse Ossian (Chandler, AZ) who shot 50% from the floor making 8-16 shots and 80% from the free throw line making 4-5 for a game-high 21 points with seven assists, five rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots. Also helping the Lady Knights was Co-Captain Lexi Barros (New Bedford, MA) also scoring a game-high 21 points shooting 53% from the field on 9-17 shooting, with two 3-pointers, nine rebounds, seven assist, three steals and a blocked shot and Co-Captain Ahnyyah Jackson (Hackensack, NJ) added 178 points, including a game-high three 3-pointers while shooting 50% from the field, with eight rebounds, two assists a steal and a blocked shot. Rounding out the attack for CCRI was Jessica Patalano (Exeter, RI) with 12 points on 56% shooting with nine steals and nine rebounds while Amber Edwards (Boston, MA) added a double-double with 12 points on 60% on 6-10 shooting with 10 rebounds and three assists.
The next game for the Lady Knights will be this Saturday the 23rd when they will travel to Newport, RI to play the Rams of The Naval Academy Preparatory School at 2:00pm
