The CCRI Knights coed golf team continued play in the 2014 Division III Golf National Championship on Wednesday at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY. As a team the Knights shot a 372 to give them a two-day total of 738 they are still in 13th place behind County College of Morris with 692. Cincinnati State Technical Community College (CSTCC) still leads the Championship shooting a 299 on the second day to give them a two-day total of 599. Individually, Tyler Robbins of Westmoreland Community College along with Alec Meyer of College of DuPage and Ediz Kemaloglu of Sandhill Community College are all tied for the lead with a two-day total of 145.
Leading the way for the Knights again was Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) who shot a team-low 79 to give him a two day total of 152 placing him tied for 15th place. Over the first two days of the tournament Letterle has nine birdies to lead the Knights. Also playing very well for CCRI was Co-Captain Gina Bartolotta (Wakefield, RI) shooting a 93 to give her a two-day total of 182 placing her 71st. Co-Captain Zach Sullivan (Cumberland, RI) shot a 100 for a two-day total of 197 placing him 75th. Chris Lussier (Cranston, RI) also shot a 100 giving him a total of 207 placing him 76th.
The tee times for Thursday are as follows for CCRI: Letterle 9:40am, Bartolotta 9:48am, Sullivan 9:56am and Lussier 10:04am.
