Lady Knights fall in first game to Springfield JV
The Lady Knights found themselves facing a better overall team on this day. However, once Head Coach Samantha Amaral talked to them they didn't put their heads down, they kept them up and one of the players told her "Coach, we will get them next time so bad, they won't even know what hit them." that’s a fighting team, that is a team that wants to win.
Annie Ragan (Coventry, RI) played an amazing game today and if Amaral had an MVP of the game it was definitely her. Coach Amaral commented “despite the score Annie kept a positive attitude, she was the teams back bone today. The girls on this team really look up to her and as her coach I look to her to lead the team and that is exactly what she did today.”
Meagan Del Re (Coral Spring, FL) was a force in the front row, playing with a fighting spirit! She in her mind was not going to lose this game. Del Re was loud and quick. Everyone knew Megan was our offense today. She has already come so far from where she started. Coach Amaral added “I am excited to see how far she is going to go.”
The Lady Knights next volleyball match will be next Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd when they will host five teams form the northeast for the CCRI Classic beginning each day at 9:00am.
