11.21.12: Though the CCRI Knights men’s basketball team went 1-1 last week no one can fault them for losing to DI power Monroe College. The Knights did have an excellent week from November 12th-18th. Their success can be thanked in large part to diminutive point guard Bryan Yarce (Cranston, RI) who led the Knights to a thrilling 22 point comeback victory versus Cuyahoga Community College. In that game Yarce spearheaded the comeback scoring 22 points with seven assists and seven steals while shooting an efficient 9-12 for the floor. For his efforts and leadership he was named NJCAA Division II men’s basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 12th-18th.
