The CCRI women’s basketball team traveled to Dean College in Franklin, MA for a Region XXI rivalry game. The Lady Knights came away with a 56-39 victory over the Bulldogs of Dean College. With the victory the Lady Knights improve to 15-10 on the season and 5-1 in Region XXI play.

The Lady Knights were playing in the later game versus the Bulldogs of Dean College as they were celebrating their “Pink Out” to promote breast cancer awareness.  Both teams wore pink socks and warm-ups accessories to support the event.

CCRI gained momentum in the final six minutes going on a run to close out the game. Coach Lynch added: “We knew it would come down to the first five minutes of each half and the last five minutes. Our players showed a lot of heart and resilience. They weathered Dean’s runs and battled back. I am very proud of them. It is a great road win for us.”

Jess Randall (Warwick, RI) led all scorers with 17 points going 11-14 from the free throw line. Co-Captain Jahira Smith tallied 12 points with five assists, two steals, eight rebounds and a blocked shot.
