Knights handle Herkimer County CC 9-0!
The Community College of Rhode Island Knights traveled to Herkimer County Community College in Herkimer, NY. The CCRI Knights turned in their second consecutive 9-0 victory after defeating Bristol CC 9-0 they posted an identical 9-0 victory over Herkimer County Community College. With the victory they improve to 7-1 on the season
Starting with singles, Mike Fallone (North Providence, RI) defeated Bobby Fleming 6-1 and 6-1 in first singles. Anthony Lamborghini (Smithfield, RI) defeated John Kangah in second singles 6-0 and 6-1. Nicholas DeAngelis (Northborough, MA) defeated Scott Mohr, in what was clearly the most competitive match of the day, 6-4 and 6-3 in 3rd singles. Ross Bouchard (South Kingstown, RI) defeated Tate Cole in fourth singles 6-0 and 6-0. Timothy Holzinger (Foster, RI) defeated Jordan White 6-1 and 6-1 in 5th singles. Nicholas Morin (North Smithfield, RI) prevailed over Phil Pham in 6th singles 6-2 and 6-2. Fallone again teamed up with Lamborghini and defeated Fleming and Kangah in first doubles 8-0. Holzinger and Bouchard teamed-up to defeat Mohr and Cole 8-1. DeAngelis and Morin closed out the day defeating White and Alex Vincent 8-1 in third doubles. CCRI won the match 9-0.

The win today signaled the sixth win in a row, and the second consecutive 9-0 win – and the third of the 2012 campaign – after none in the 2011 season.
