ARTS 2010 - 2020
Painting 1& 2 are studio courses which present an introduction and survey of a variety of concepts of painting. The emphasis is on exploring possible means of creative expression in two dimensions using application of color and composition. A survey of historical and contemporary concepts will be explored through class discussions and assignments. Students will experiment with various techniques.
Individual and group discussions, slide lectures, critiques, gallery and museums visits will supplement studio activities. Acrylic and water-soluble oil paints will be used.
