CCRI Veterans Human Library project

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, the Alumni Association, together with CCRI’s Student Veterans Organization, hosted the CCRI Veterans Human Library project. This event was an opportunity to create open dialogue with our CCRI community so that we may better understand the experiences of our veteran students.

Like visiting a library, veterans were the books complete with titles and descriptions. Guests had the opportunity to check out a veteran “book” and have a one-on-one, 15-minute conversation.

The speaking program included remarks from CCRI President Meghan Hughes and keynote speaker Steven L. Pierce, Associate Professor at the Navy War College.
