As part of All College Week 2013, CCRI gives back to the community during Community Service Day.
Community Service Day
Site is off Plain Meeting House Road in West Greenwich
(Specific directions will be provided to volunteers.)
The chapter conducts various types of conservation-oriented activities, especially maintenance and building of hiking and walking trails in state forests as well as in state and town parks. It also assists groups such as the Nature Conservancy and Audubon Society with their trail development and maintenance efforts.
Volunteers at this site on Community Service Day will help build and install two log bridges, each approximately 12 feet in length, to span Acid Factory Brook on the border of Wickaboxet Management Area and the West Greenwich Land Trust's Pratt Preserve off Plain Meeting House Road in West Greenwich. Volunteers do not need to have prior experience with log bridge building; the AMC will provide any training and guidance needed on site. Volunteers should wear footwear with a good tread for safety purposes.
This site is now full. Thank you.
