Special Event
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
a spirited, noncompetitive walk to save lives and provide hope…
About the Event
Today there is more reason to be hopeful about breast cancer. Thanks to early detection and better treatments, more women are surviving breast cancer with less impact to their bodies. However, there is still more to be done.
Honor the many lives touched by breast cancer by raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s crucial programs. Since 1993, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has been the Society’s premier event to raise awareness and dollars to fight this disease. In that time, two million walkers have raised more than $130 million through Making Strides. The walks happen throughout the country – often around October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Be a part of TEAM CCRI for this event. Beginning the week of September 3, 2007, registration/pledge forms will be available on all campuses at various locations.
