The Community College of Rhode Island has transfer articulation agreements with many four-year institutions and the number of agreements continues to grow. These agreements guarantee that CCRI students who graduate with an Associate Degree and a specific grade point average will be accepted and will receive both transfer credit and advanced standing upon transfer to the four-year institution.

For a full list of our current articulation agreements with four-year institutions, please click here (requires Adobe Reader) or view the transfer information in the current version of our College Catalog.

The Community College of Rhode Island recommends that all students who are planning to transfer to four-year institutions begin transfer planning as early as possible.

Transfer guides and copies of formal transfer agreements are available in the Advising and Counseling Centers and Libraries.

For transfer information and planning, contact the Advising and Counseling Center at the Warwick, Lincoln or Providence Campuses.

Students planning to transfer to Rhode Island College or the University of Rhode Island are urged to consult the Transfer Guide for Students before selecting courses at CCRI. These guides are available on all campuses in the Learning Resources Centers, Advising and Counseling Centers, and Office of Admissions and Records. Students are also encouraged to discuss their plans with the Admissions Offices at the College (401-456-8234) or University (401-792-7100) or with the Advising Center at RIC (401-456-8183) or University College at URI (401-792-5525).

CCRI students planning to transfer to bachelor's degree programs in Business after finishing their associate degrees need to follow an appropriate course sequence to insure that the maximum number of transfer credits are accepted toward the bachelor's degree. There is a core of Business courses that all colleges recommend be taken at CCRI, but individual institutions have their own specific requirements. Call the Advising and Counseling Center (401-333-7159 at Flanagan, 401-825-2301 at Knight) for more information.
