Need help applying for financial aid for college? The first step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). On January 27, 2008 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., College Goal Sunday help sessions will be held at different sites in Rhode Island. Each session will feature financial aid professionals and hands-on help with the FAFSA.

Find a location near you, and remember to bring the things you need. If you know where you'll attend, please pre-register. This isn't required; however, it helps us plan for approximate attendance.

How are you paying for college? This event will help you get answers to your questions about college-financing options. Financial aid enables students to attend college. Much of the talent needed for our economic future is among high-achieving, low-income students; they need to go to college to reach their full potential. For many high school students, lack of information about how to pay for college has discouraged them from applying. It's critical that students and families gain access to the information and resources needed to help them explore educational opportunities.

Help spread the word about College Goal Sunday to students and families, and help students acquire the financial assistance they need to further their education.
