Natalie Coletta's Favorite Books

Here's what Natalie Coletta, Chair of the Art Department, writes about her favorite reads:

A Study of Vermeer

A Study of Vermeer by Edward Snow

A sensual and stunning look at the Dutch Baroque painter, Johannes Vermeer.  Phenomenal.

The World is Round

The World is Round by Gertrude Stein

Stein’s only children’s book, illustrated by Clement Hurd (of Goodnight Moon).  My favorite children’s book, a great read and sing aloud.  Abstract, symbolic, short and a little strange.

Happy All the Time

Happy All the Time by Laurie Colwin

A book that moves like an art form—subtle and true.  All of Colwin’s books are worth getting involved in.
